Scotch Brain

The Scotch Brain is an exceptional variety born in 2012 from a cross between a Scotch Bonnet and a 7 Pot Yellow Brainstrain. This pepper combines the characteristic shape of the Scotch Bonnet with the bumpy texture of the Brainstrain, yielding spectacular fruits that ripen from green to yellow, then to a golden orange-yellow when fully mature. The plants are vigorous and very productive, offering an abundance of peppers with a fruity and citrusy, particularly aromatic flavor. Their heat is intense but progressive, stronger than a classic Scotch Bonnet, yet not aggressive.
