Cibola

Cibola is an exceptional variegated-leaf variety born from the work of American hybridizer Eric Knight, a cross between the variegated-leaf Sugar Rush Peach (VRSP Variegated Sugar Rush Peach) and Ancho Poblano. This project was then passed on to grower Rich Blood, then to Bryan Townshend, who continued the selections over several generations before giving it its name: Cibola, in homage to the legendary “city of gold”. The fruits start with a beautiful dark purple hue, then evolve into a bright golden orange, adorned with violet and orange-brown undertones at maturity. Their moderate heat, comparable to that of a jalapeño, is accompanied by a fruity and sweet taste, very pleasant in cooking.
