Bandol Blues

Bandol Blues, named in reference to the French wine region of Bandol and the bluish colors of its anthocyanin-rich shoulders, is a French variety resulting from modern selections based on OSU Blue lines. It produces medium globe-shaped fruits, showing a superb contrast between dark purple, almost black shoulders and a red to dark red base at maturity. Its flesh is juicy, soft, slightly sweet with a hint of acidity that brings balance. Vigorous, decorative, and highly productive, Bandol Blues stands out as much for its spectacular aesthetics as for its pleasant flavor, making it an excellent tomato for the table and salads.
