Cherokee Rose

Cherokee Rose is a rare natural mutation of the famous Cherokee Purple. Its exact origin is not documented, and no breeder is officially recognized as having discovered it. It was first reported in the 2000s within North American collector circles, where it stood out for its unique appearance. This variation produces large, fleshy beefsteak-type fruits with a magnificent dusty pink color and a matte finish, sometimes described as slightly fuzzy depending on growing conditions. It’s this unusual, almost velvety pastel hue that earned it the name ‘Rose’. The plant, with indeterminate growth, is vigorous and surprisingly productive for this fruit size. The flesh is bright pink, juicy, and sweet, with the aromatic richness and depth of flavor typical of Cherokee lineages.
