SRTSL

The SRTSL (Sara Ragoonanan Trinidad Scorpion Long) is an iconic chili pepper native to Trinidad and Tobago, considered one of the direct ancestors of modern superhots. Its name pays tribute to Sara, who popularized it in the early 2000s by sharing its seeds with the international community. The SRTSL is a direct descendant of the legendary “Devil’s Pepper,” a chili locally cultivated in Trinidad after the colonial period, renowned for its extreme heat and scorpion-like shape. Its long, red, and wrinkled fruits offer a fruity and floral flavor, followed by an explosive heat. A true piece of history, it is the origin of mythical lineages such as the 7 Pot, the Moruga Scorpion, and the Bhut Jolokia, and remains one of the rarest and most authentic superhots still cultivated.
