Marchenengel

Märchenengel, whose name means “Fairy Angel,” is a rare German variety from the Märchen series. Despite a slow start and fragile appearance at the seedling stage, it later becomes very easy to grow and develops quickly. The plant, a determinate bushy type, reaches about 1.40 m and produces an abundance of small fruits throughout the season, without requiring pruning. The fruits have a creamy yellow skin covered with a purple anthocyanin blush on the sun-exposed sides, creating a spectacular gradient. The flesh is soft, sweet, and juicy, with exotic aromas reminiscent of mango, harmoniously complemented by a subtle hint of tomato. Very productive, decorative, and robust, Märchenengel adapts perfectly to cool climates and also excels in pot cultivation.
